Muhorro Health Centre III Receives Health Kits for VHTs
Muhorro Health Center III has received 43 health kits. The kits are going to be used by Village Health Teams (VHTs) in 43 cells of Muhorro Town Council. The event took place today at Muhorro Health Center III.
Each kit has a thermometer, apron, bag, Health charter, t-shirt among others. The VHTs use the kits to provide first aid to patients at the village level.
VHTs were established by the Ministry of Health to empower communities to take part in the decisions that affect their health; mobilize communities for health programs, and strengthen the delivery of health services at house-hold level.
