Kagadi Deputy RDC calls for Unity in Bunyoro
The Deputy RDC for Kagadi Mr. Benjamin Tumusiime has called upon the people of Bunyoro to take unity a priory in order for development to take route. He said this during the Kagadi District extraordinary council session which took place on the 23rd November 2022. The Council was hosted at Muhorro Town Council Community hall and brought together all district councilors, District Executive Committee, RDC, Chief Administrative officer, Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom officials, Technical Staff, and the media.
Benjamin said that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni realized that it is important to bring back the kingdoms as one way of restoring our good culture and heritage in Africa. He added that amidst tribal differences that exist in Bunyoro, there is a symbiotic relationship between these tribes. He called for coexistence and interdependence.
He brought to the attention of the August house and to the people of Kagadi that ebola is still around in Uganda, especially in our neighboring districts of Mubende and Kasanda.
“Much as President Museveni declared Kagadi District Ebola-free, let us not take it for granted. There is a lot of negligence from family members, and health workers and for that reason, Kagadi is still sited on a time bomb.
He tasked the people of Kagadi to be more vigilant and protect themselves from Ebola especially now that we are heading toward Christmas.
