How to Pay MTC Taxes

Muhorro Town Council relies on tax collections in improving service delivery to the people. We feel it is your right to know the different taxes and other dues, and how you can pay them. Below are some of the taxes and dues.

How to Pay

These can be paid to the Muhorro Town Council Local Revenue Account number below. Payment can be made at any Stanbic bank branch or Bank Agent. You can also conveniently make payments using Flexipay.

Property Tax

Property tax is the amount of money levied annually on a property, usually between 0 and 12% of the ratable value. The tax is a percentage of the actual (or estimated) annual rental value or business income value and is only collected from property owners that generate income from their property.

Payment can be made at any Centenary bank branch or Bank Agent. After making payment, submit a receipt to the Town Council Finance office. Make sure you are issued with a valid receipt from the Muhorro Town Council finance office.

Please also not that Muhorro Town Council does not accept cash payments. All payments must be made electronically using the bank, bank agent, or Flexipay. Report to the Town Council authorities any officer that is collecting cash from you.
