Muhorro Town Council Elderly to Receive SAGE Money
The Social Assistance Grants for Empowerment (SAGE) programme for Muhorro Town Council is scheduled to take place Tuesday 8th November, 2022 at Muhorro Town Council starting at 11:00am. SAGE is part of the Social Protection Programme (ESP) implemented by the Government of the Republic of Uganda under the Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development.
Guidelines to follow when coming to pick the money
- The beneficiary must be wearing a face mask
- The beneficiary must come along with a national identity card.
- All beneficiaries must strictly observe time.
Who qualifies for SAGE in Uganda?
Through the grant, the government gives out a monthly stipend of UGX 25,000 to persons aged above 80 years in different parts of the country.
In March, 2016, the Ministry of Gender, Labour & Social Development signed a contract with PostBank Uganda as the new Payment Service Provider (PSP) for the Senior Citizens Grants. Post Bank Uganda took over the payment service provider role from MTN who had hitherto delivered the grants using MTN Mobile Money.
