Karuswiga PDM SACCO Elects Vetting, Loans and Supervisory Committees

Karuswiga PDM SACCO group leaders have successfully completed the election of different committees relevant for the smooth operation of the Parish Development Model SACCO. The event took place on the 21/10/2022 at Butale Cell, Karuswiga Ward, Muhorro Town Council. It as facilitated by the Principal Ward Agent Mr. Kyaligonza Julius supported by other Principal Ward Agents, and the Community Development Officer (CDO).

Julius told members that no one should think about misusing the PDM money as this will get some people arrested. He added that the Parish Development Model (PDM) has many supervisors including but not limited to the President, Prime Minister, Resident District Commissioner, District Commercial Officer, among others. He also assured members that there is no one who can withdraw the SACCO money from the bank without the consent of three signatories who were elected by the members themselves.

Ms Happy Ganyira representing the CDO said advised people who intend to use the money that role of the money is to spark development amongst the SACCO members.

Plan for the money before you apply for it from the SACCO. Don’t use the money to shop for family. You will be arrested if you take the money and you don’t pay it back

In her speech the Woman Councilor for Karuswiga Ward Hon Omuhereza Nyamahunge challenged the elected committees to be honest, trusted and some a high level of integrity if they are to do the job right. She also advised members to leave the money in the SACCO if they have no right purpose for it otherwise they will be arrested.

Each member of the group should be responsible for recovering the money. Let have regular meetings to review the performance of these groups.
