Muhorro Town Council Pays Tribute to the Late Peter Kasaija Mulindwa

The body of late Peter Kasaija Mulindwa the former district councilor in the first council of Kibaale district was laid to rest on Wednesday at his ancestral home in Kapyemi cell, Muhorro town council Kagadi district.

Late Peter Kasaija Mulindwa also served as a member of the Kibaale district service commission and a teacher at Naigana SS where he served for many years.

The sendoff ceremony started with the district extraordinary council sitting that was held at Muhorro Town council community hall in recognition for the deceased’s contribution towards the development of Kibaale district and Kagadi district at large.

During the council sitting, the Kagadi District LC5 chairperson Yosia B Ndibwami moved a motion to honor the great contribution made by late Peter Kasaija Mulindwa in the development of greater Kibaale district.

He further begged to move that council resolves to name one of the streets of Muhorro town council after him in consultation with Muhorro Town council leadership.

Presiding over the council sitting on Wednesday afternoon, the speaker Magezi Muwonge has eulogized late Peter Mulindwa Kasaija as a loving person, a parent and who greatly contributed to the development of greater Kibaale district.

The chief Administrative Officer Kagadi Mathias Ndifuna asked the family members to desist from land fragmentation as president Yoweri Museveni emphasizes.

Meanwhile councilors during council regretted the death of late Peter Mulindwa citing that he has contributed a lot towards the development of this nation.

The late Peter Mulindwa died at the age of 79 and succumbed to cancer on 22nd 08 2022.
