Pride Microfinance Donates to Muhorro Town Council Waste Disposal Containers

Pride Microfinance Kagadi Branch has donated waste disposal containers to the Muhorro Town Council(MT) Local Government.

The function was presided over by the Pride Microfinance Business Unit Team Leader for Kagadi Branch Mr. Ngobi Manson who applauded MTC  Town Clerk Mr. Isingoma John for being proactive and submitting the required information when he learnt that there is an opportunity for getting waste disposal containers.  Manson added that MTC has been a good partner with Pride Microfinance for the last 10 years.

He continued to say that Pride Microfinance is a fully-fledged financial institution that is owned by the Government of Uganda. He there called upon the Management of Muhorro Town Council to continue popularizing  Pride Microfinance services to the people of Muhorro Town Council.

He pledged that Pride Microfinance will continue to support Muhorro Town Council when another opportunity comes.

Meanwhile the MTC Health Inspector, Mr. Venant Gabriel Ntirenganya said that the donation of the waste disposal materials is timely and will save many lives for the people of Muhorro Town Council, which will, in turn, accumulate money into their pockets given that they will spend less on diseases related to poor waste management.

The MTC Principal Town Clerk Mr. Isingoma John said that the containers will demonstrate to the people of Muhorro Town Council especially landlords the best way to manage garbage.

He called upon landlords and business owners to put in place containers for proper waste management. He added that the responsibility of the Town Council is to pick the collected garbage for proper disposal as a requirement by the Physical Planning Act 2020 as amended.

He thanked Pride Microfinance for being a developmental partner and especially for supporting MTC to deliver one of its most important services to the people of MTC.

You have exhibited a good spirit of giving back to your customers and as Muhorro Town Council we pledge to continuously work with you, especially in popularizing the services of Pride Microfinance

He called upon other financial institutions, NGO, religious organizations, and other stakeholders to also come out and support Muhorro Town Council because the Town Council still has a gap of over 50 containers.

The MTC Mayor Hon. Nangonza Godfrey applauded Pride Microfinance for being thoughtful and considering the Town Council request. He said that the waste disposal containers will greatly improve the health status of Muhorro Town Council. He pledged his full support to Pride Microfinance especially in extending services to the people of Muhorro Town Council.

The function was also witnessed by the Secretary for Health and Education who also doubles as the Vice Mayor Muhorro Town Council Hon. Hajj Abdulah Waswa Rukyalekere, Pride Microfinance Staff and the Media.
