Agriculture is the major source of income for the people of Muhorro town council. The people still practice substance farming and to a lesser exchange, there is small-scale business and wholesale business. However, with the inclusion of the NAADS program since 2007 and the introduction of operation wealth creation, farmers will eventually shift to farming as a business.
